Marathon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Club

Nestled within the scenic Peninsula Golf Course, the Marathon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Club has been a cornerstone of winter recreation in our community since 1985. Recognized as one of Ontario’s premier Nordic ski destinations, the club offers something for everyone — from beginners to seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Club Features:

• 15 km of beautifully groomed ski trails winding through the boreal forest

• 5 km of night skiing under high-efficiency lighting for extended evening fun

• 5 km of snowshoe trails weaving through forested paths with stunning views of Lake Superior

• A full-service chalet featuring waxing stations, washrooms, social space, and a cozy canteen

• Rental equipment available for classic and skate skiing, plus snowshoes

• Seasonal youth lessons for ages up to 18 — a great way for kids to learn and grow their skills

Operated by passionate volunteers, the Marathon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting outdoor activity and community connection throughout the winter season.
